This film is directed and produced by Arbaaz Khan (Brother of Salman Khan). it is made under the banner of Arbaaz Khan Production. Arbaaz Khan had announced the third installment of the Dabangg. He Said that Dabangg 3 is coming in 2018 on the set of Popular Comedy Show The Kapil Sharma Show. While Salman Khan will continue to play Chulbul Pandey. Brother Arbaaz Khan who produced the first two installments is asking his fans to wait a little.

Arbaaz, who also directed Dabangg 2, said, “Next year (End of 2017) we will start working for Dabangg 3. Right now Bhai (Salman Khan) is busy with some of his projects. Therefore, Dabangg 3 is in queue. I cannot say the exact time, but next year for sure.”
While promoting Dabangg 2, Salman had revealed that the third film will actually be a prequel. “We have our third film ready and it will go back and show how Chulbul Pandey becomes Chulbul Pandey. If the second one becomes a hit, we can go to the third one, which is actually the first one. So Dabangg 3 will be a prequel.” He had also said that Sonakshi, the lead actress of the first two films, will also feature in the prequel.

When asked about Dabangg 3 at a recent promotional interview of Akira, Sonakshi said, “That is a question that only Arbaaz Khan can answer. I don’t think the script is in place. These people are still working on it.
Arbaaz said, “Sonakshi is going to be a part of ‘Dabangg 3’
I have not been approached. Even I heard they are working on the script. Sonu Sood says he has not been approached for Dabangg 3.
“First draft, second draft, once the final script is ready then you visualise which actors fits the role in that the particular script they’ve written,” Sonu told PTI in an interview.
Dabangg 3 will not about the story carried forward but something very different coming in way.
